Can we get married at First Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti and what if we are not members? Yes, you do not have to be a member of the church to be married at First Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti. Please see the bottom of this page for more information.
May we have a funeral service at the church? Yes, you do not have to be a member of the church to have a funeral service at the church. Please contact Pastor Keith or Gerry Stockinger.
What kind of Music will I hear at First Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti? Sunday worship service is Traditional with contemporary flair. American composers and arrangements are regularly featured along with solos of classical work by music students.
Do you have Sunday School and for whom? Yes, Children's Worship is part of the worship service at 10 AM. The children join everyone for the first part of the service, with a message by one of our pastors for them, then they have a special focus time of prayer, lesson and blessing.
KIDS CLUB meets every Thursday evening from 6-7:30 with lesson, snack, recreation and music.
There are study groups that meet the second & third Thursday morning and a weekly study every Tuesday 2:30-3:30 PM with Pastor Keith
There are seasonal adult offerings on Thursday evenings 6:30-7:30 and at other times.
Are you wheel chair accessible? Yes, ramps and an elevator (access on Emmett St.) are permanent, and we welcome you to join us for worship and fellowship.
How can I join the Choir? Contact Dr. Brad Blake for Adult, and Mary Shell for the Children's choirs. All are welcome and encouraged to share their talents. Rehearsals are Sunday morning at 8:45 AM and at 11:15 AM.
How can I join the church? Contact Pastor Keith for information on an upcoming membership class offered in the Spring and Fall.
Can I be baptized at the church? Yes, all are welcome to be baptized at the church who profess faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior and wish to affiliate with the congregation, please contact Pastor Keith for more information.
